Internships Available & Volunteers Welcome

Interested in researching Native-American, African-American, early American History, Archaeology, or New England studies while building your resume?

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center is currently accepting undergraduate and graduate students interested in working in the Historical Research & Archaeology Department, either interning for credit or volunteering during 2015-2016.

Students majoring in American History, Anthropology, American Studies, English, History, Museums Studies, or other related fields are encouraged to apply!

The research department is currently conducting ongoing historical and archaeological research centering on American Battlefield Protection Program projects – Battlefields of the Pequot War (1636-1637) and King Philip’s War (1675-1676). A variety of internship projects are available and can be customized to fit your personal research interests (archiving, research, material culture, archaeology field/lab work, etc.).
